Burt’s Bees Hair Treatment is great!!

Okay, all of you with long hair must be having fits trying to keep it moist and healthy during this intense cold weather!! Short of keeping it in a hat, I do everything I can to protect my tresses. Actually, I do keep it in a hat when I am outside, and it’s usually tied up in some manner when inside. But when I am going out and want to wear it down, I want to know that it is in good enough shape to behave and look lovely, not straw-like and witchy!

I stumbled upon a pre-shampoo treatment from Burt’s Bees that is wonderful. It is made with avocado butter, olive and almond oils among other healthy things, and it smells nice, too. You can put it on your hair before you shower, or you can use it like a styling aid, like I do. On the days that I plan on washing my hair, I will use this cream on dry hair to help control it as I braid my hair: it holds the ends in really well. Then when I come home from work, I unbraid and shampoo and have intensely moisturized hair! Give it a try– I think you’ll like it. It can be found at Shoprite or you can order it like I do from Vitacost. Best of all, it is free of artificial fragrances, phthalates and other unsavory ingredients. Gotta love this company!
